Elite Teams

U12-U18 Girls
Seacoast United will enter one team at each age group from U12-18 in this category. Elite teams will be made up of the top players from across all the Seacoast United organizations in Maine and New Hampshire.  These teams will compete in the NY-NPL division of the National Premier Leagues (NPL), a US Club Soccer sanctioned league.  The NY-NPL is made up of 16 of the top clubs in the Northeast region, and is split into two divisions of 8 (North and South). The Seacoast United Elite teams will compete against teams from MA, CT, NJ and NY. There are 18 divisions across the country for NPL and the winners of each division progress to the NPL Champions Cup.

The Seacoast United Elite team will also participate in top Showcase tournaments over the East Coast. This structure provides the most competitive players within all of the Seacoast United organizations an opportunity to compete against the highest level of competition available. Players will be allowed to participate in high school soccer in the fall and winter, however they are expected to make full commitment to the Elite team during the spring season.  Click here for more information on Seacoast United’s Girls’ Elite teams.

U14-U18 Boys
Seacoast United will enter teams in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy at the U18, U16, and U14 age groups for boys in this category. "Academy" teams will be made up of the top players from not only the various Seacoast United organizations in Maine and New Hampshire, but throughout the northern New England region. This program is aimed at the elite players within MA, NH, ME, and VT.  These teams will compete in the East Conference of the US Soccer Development Academy, made up of 12 of the top clubs in the Northeast region from NH, MA, NY, CT, and Montreal, Canada.

The Seacoast United Development Academy teams will also participate in US Soccer Showcase events during the calendar year.  This structure provides the most competitive players within all of the Seacoast United organizations an opportunity to compete against the highest level of competition available.  Players in the US Soccer Development Academy will not be able to participate in high school sports as the Academy calendar runs 10 months from September through June.  Click here for more information on Seacoast United’s US Development Academy program.
